Blue Asylum
Here’s My Story
My mother will eventually stumble upon this blog because after twenty years she has already figured out email. Once she does find it, every post will be written with the knowledge she is somewhere shaking her head disapprovingly and mumbling โI never.โ Until then, this blog will be filled with advice on publishing and writing, book news, and general rambling.

My Mother Has Totally Found This Blog, Much to My Despair
Can’t wait until Blue Asylum comes out!
April can’t com soon enough! We look forward to showering our “book queen” with rose petals, a parade, and a free Kindle for everyone who comes! Never hurts to have a little incentive to build a crowd!
Our book club is reading Absence of Nectar…I love it and wonder if you have any questions prepared to guide us through meaningful discussion of your work.
Hi, Absence of Nectar is my favorite book and probably always will be. If you’d like, I could email you some questions about it. Really happy your book club is reading it.
I am just reading The House of Gentle Men, and love it. I can’t wait to read your other novels as well. Well done!!
I love Blue Asylum I just picked it up and I am already almost finished. I love period piece books I especially like books that take place in the 1800s also having grown up in Savannah Ga and being from the south I really enjoy how you describe the island. Kind of reminds me of home. Iris is truly a wonderful Character I can not wait to see what happens to her. Truly a wonderful book and worth every penny.
Thanks!
Thank you so much, James. Where do you live now?
Yours
Kathy
I live in Boise Idaho right now however I am moving back to Savannah I am actually in the middle of packing up my house. Listening to how you describe the ocean and the island makes me want to get back even more. The Victorian era has always been one of my favorites I am quite the history nut. I have always been a fan of strong female characters like Iris. I love it when I find a good book like yours I read the back and saw the cover and my mind was made up. I look forward to reading more of your novels.
Thanks
James.
Are there discussion questions available for “The House of Gentle Men”?
I would like to recommend the book for the reading club I attend. I found the book very thought provoking.
Thank you very much. I am not sure whether House of Gentle Men ever had discussion questions but I will check. Here’s my email address: kathyhepinstall@me.com Thanks.
The House of Gentle Men has been a long time favorite, ever since the galley arrived to my hands from one of those magical publisher boxes! I just posted a review on my own blog if you are interested in reading it.
